Access is Restricted
because unlicensed healing practitioners can be charged criminally for practicing medicine without a license. Unlicensed health care practitioners are legally vulnerable due to overly broad and outdated statutes defining the practice of medicine.
Practice
is Inhibited
because licensed practitioners
providing holistic, integrative, natural or alternative services can be
disciplined by their licensing boards because the services they provide might be
deemed to be outside the accepted and prevailing standard of care.

Consumers
Need
education about our right
to access all health care options we choose for our own wellness; analysis of
laws and public policy impacting this right; and creation of new laws and
policies, including regulations to protect consumers.
Practitioners
Need
the freedom and right to
practice legally; the right to educate consumers; the freedom to make referrals
to other practitioners.
